Nestled between the vibrant coastal towns of Brighton and Hastings, Eastbourne beckons with its 19th-century Pier and 1930s bandstand along the seafront. A scenic Marina, hosting waterfront restaurants, awaits just beyond the town’s core. Immerse yourself in history with a Roman wall encircling a Norman castle, only a few miles from our cottage site.

Local Sights: The Seaside

We are just 6 miles from the seaside. The nearest large town is Eastbourne. It is situated between Brighton and Hastings (1066 – Battle of Hastings country).

On the seafront there is a 19th-century Pier and a 1930s bandstand. Just outside the main town there is a Marina, which has waterfront restaurants.

There are many places of historical interests in the local and surrounding areas, including a Roman wall surrounding a Norman castle just a few miles from the cottages site.

Close by there are Art Galleries, museums, vintage pubs, theatres, and restaurants.

The beautiful South Downs National Park is nearbythis is famous for the tall chalk cliffs of Beachy Head with its lighthouse.

There are some great local attractions for children of all ages, Drusillas zoo park, a 25-minute drive away, or in this area, we have Knockhatch Adventure Park See more which has fantastic indoor & outdoor play areas, animal enclosures and daily Owl Displays.
